Mister Rogers arrives with some examples of needlepoint -- pictures made with yarn -- showing various images of clowns.
At Betty's Little Theatre, Chef Brockett and Barbara Russell are preparing for an upcoming show where they will be dressed as clowns. Mister Rogers watches as they apply their clown make-up. Mr. McFeely stops by with before-and-after pictures of Chef Brockett and Ms. Russell in their full make-up and costumes. Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely spend some time watchign them rehearse a portion of their show.
Chef Brockett asks Mister Rogers to check in at the bakery on his way home. While he is there, Gladys Schenk stops by to talk with Jose Cisneros. Mister Rogers listens as they speak in Spanish.
In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Jose Cisneros is at the castle teaching Queen Sara Saturday to speak Spanish. Meanwhile, Purple Panda returns to Make-Believe from the circus with a friend, Black and White Panda. Those on Planet Purple Fairchilde have requested a performance by the circus and Lady Elaine Fairchilde is invited to go along. Even though her spaceship is not ready for travel, Purple Panda informs Lady Elaine that she received the abiity to travel the "purple way" when the planet was named after her. She joins the pandas for a weekend visit to Planet Purple Fairchilde.
Back at the house, Mister Rogers reads the final parts from History of Planet Purple.
